Yes, you too can do something stupid and get it on film! It’s tough enough just to land interviews nowadays…what with the tight job market and all. And, on top of that, once you do get a chance at a break, there remain NO GUARANTEES! Which should go without saying. But, check it out. Recently, I got an interview with this firm that I was super excited about, but then my car wouldn’t start the day of. Since it was only a few miles away and I had already submitted a cover, resume, and portfolio writing sample, I didn’t need a briefcase to weigh me down; which would surely topple my silly little rear! I then quickly thought about my midget brother (bed-ridden since he was an infant;who only comes out minimally for some air here and there strictly under close supervision) who has a ‘bike’ as well. Forced into this desperate state, I figure,”what da hell?”! I’m probably not going to be granted another interview anytime soon if I call out all flaky the day of for no good reason. Well, mechanical failure is as legitimate as any excuse, but this is the ADVERTISING WORLD we’re talking about people!!!!! Need to stand out and differentiate all the more within such a ruthlessly cut throat environment.

And thus is how I “Pulled a Paris” on Interview day!!! (aka: I became a circus freak-making-a-jail-break)!
